Starling Artist had just enough money to buy her own place after claiming she could do this on her own and take on the world, as well as build herself a bathroom, a garden for food and buy an art easel. Knowing that she was in for a long day she started to plant her tomatoes and install the sprinklers for her little garden.
Satisfied with her small garden, she went over to her easel to begin creating her "masterpiece" however while she really wants to be an artist, she doesn't have any formal knowledge and decided to just let her hands fly freely over the canvas.
Before she could get very far, she noticed that her new fruit trees that she bought were now infested in bugs. This is what I get for getting them for free in a flea market.
Having the foresight to buy a bug repellent spray she went over to spray the affected trees.
She went back over to the canvas after she finished taking care of her garden, the sprinklers having not kicked in yet, and started to finish what she started. Well into the evening and she realized she was painting a house that some kid could have painted.
Sigh! She was thinking about having a home and a homecooked meal and must have painted a child like version of her old family home. Before she could finish and maybe try to sell it, she realized just how hungry she was.
She heard a car stop behind her and whirled around to see a Pizza Delivery girl getting out of her car with a pizza in her arms.
"What is this?" Starling asked.
"Your grumbling is disturbing the neighbours so they bought you a pizza. Might I suggest a kitchen?" The girl grumbled, annoyed and irritated that she wasn't getting a tip. Once she shoved the pizza into Starling's hands, she turned and stomped into her car and drove away. Starling blinked and then shrugged before eating a few pieces of the pizza wishing she had a fridge to store the rest.
Once fed, she went back to finish her painting feeling very lonely. She just finished the last stroke when she heard growling behind her. There she saw a large white dog growling at her and another with glowing yellow eyes and dark fur. She bent down slowly and cautiously reached to pet the dark furred dog? Wolf? It seemed friendly enough and the white dog calmed down.
She spent the rest of her evening petting the dogs, talking to them and feeding them some of the leftover pizza, anything to make the giant bunny disappear. By the time the bunny left, the dogs were gone, the bunny was gone, and it was near sunrise. She collapsed to the ground after selling her painting and promptly fell asleep.
Total Earnings: $2
